The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “When a man marries, he has fulfilled half of his religion; so let him fear Allah regarding the remaining half” (Al-Bayhaqi). The relationship between husband and wife is one of mutual respect and partnership, where both contribute to each other’s spiritual and emotional growth.
A Mother: The Entire Paradise Under Her Feet
The status of a mother in Islam is unparalleled. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) famously stated, “Paradise lies beneath the feet of your mother” (Sunan an-Nasa’i). This Hadith underscores the immense respect and honor that Islam grants to mothers. A mother’s sacrifices, her endless love, and her tireless efforts in raising her children are recognized as acts that bring her closest to Jannah. Islam teaches that serving and caring for one’s mother is a path to Paradise, highlighting the profound role mothers play in shaping the next generation.
